Position Overview:

We are looking for a Project Manager – Process Owner to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process excellence across the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex, multi-departmental projects and owning critical business and technical processes that support operational efficiency and strategic growth. You will work closely with other Project Managers, as well as Engineering, Product, Design, Payments, and Operations teams, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment across departments. The role requires strong stakeholder management skills — engaging and reporting directly to functional leads and C-level executives.

The ideal candidate has a structured, analytical mindset with the ability to blend Waterfall discipline with Agile flexibility, guided by ITIL best practices to maintain operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities within the team:

  • Process Ownership & Governance:

    • Define, document, and maintain core operational and technical processes following ITIL principles.

    • Ensure processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives.

    • Establish governance frameworks and continuous improvement cycles.

  • Project Management:

    • Plan, manage, and deliver projects using a hybrid methodology (Waterfall + Agile), selecting the best approach per project.

    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, and budgets.

    • Track and report on progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Cross-Department Collaboration:

    • Coordinate work and communication between Engineering, Product, Design, Payments, Operations, and Compliance teams.

    • Partner with other Project Managers to ensure portfolio alignment and resource optimization.

    • Support cross-functional initiatives that impact multiple areas of the business.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Act as the primary liaison for department leads and C-level stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of priorities, risks, and deliverables.

    • Facilitate steering meetings, progress reviews, and executive reporting.

    • Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain transparency across all levels.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify inefficiencies and propose process enhancements using data-driven insights.

    • Apply Lean and ITIL methodologies to optimize workflows, incident management, and service delivery.

    • Promote a culture of accountability, process discipline, and collaboration.

Job requirements

Facing the challenges of the role requires:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in project management and process ownership roles.

  • Proven success managing cross-functional, large-scale projects with technical and operational complexity.

Technical & Methodological Skills

  • Strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) frameworks, with the ability to combine them effectively.

  • Working knowledge of ITIL principles and service management best practices.

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, MS Project, or Monday.com).

  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) for project tracking and KPIs.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for engagement with leads and C-level stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.

  • Leadership mindset with a collaborative, proactive approach.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to drive alignment across diverse teams.

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master.

  • ITIL Foundation or higher certification.

  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or above) is a plus.
